How the Program Works

The process of ensuring that your credit reports are accurate or addressing identity theft is a multi-step process which the firm has streamlined and refined so that the clients involvement is as painless and efficient as possible. The firm has combined state of the art technology with an interactive environment to speed this process.

Obtaining Your Credit Reports. The beginning step in any process to insure that your credit report is accurate is to obtain a copy of your credit report from all three credit bureaus. Creditlawgroup.com provides a means to instantly obtain you credit reports online for review. If you do not choose this option the firm will show you how to obtain your reports through the mail. Because of privacy concerns the credit bureaus will only send credit reports directly to consumers. Once you obtain your credit report you must mail us your credit reports.

Disputing What's On Your Credit Report. Once you have obtained your credit report the information you wish to dispute will be entered electronically into an easy to use interface and database that you will be able to update directly online. You will be provided a form via e-mail to use for providing the firm with information on accounts or tradelines you wish to dispute. As you receive subsequent credit reports resulting from disputes and correspondence the firm has sent this information will be used to update our database. When available and if you purchase a credit report online you will be able to immediately upload this information to us to set up a checklist of items you wish to dispute or correct. This process works the same way in case of identity theft.

The Representation Process. The firm will submit correspondence to the credit bureaus and selected creditors on professional law firm letterhead and in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and federal law. This correspondence will dispute those items which the client selects as being inaccurate, unverifiable or incorrect for the reasons listed in our easy to use interface and forms or as the result of identity theft or other reason. The firm will continue this process in an attempt to reach the desired result of removing inaccurate or information related to identity theft.

The Results. The firm will monitor the results of its representation and provide this to you as client in an electronic format. Negative inaccurate and unverifiable items which have been removed from the credit bureaus will be displayed in an easy to read format. We will provide updates and news on significant events by e-mail concerning your file.
